Father Red Morph Eastern Screech Owl

Its always exciting when I find Father Screech Owl each season. The Owls like a nest box near a big tree or forest cover and Father Owl watches over the nest box all day long and rests so he can hunt and bring food as soon as the sun goes down. He is a handsome Red Morph Eastern Screech Owl and Mother Owl is a gray morph which is much more common. The stunning pattern of fox red and white with a bit of black highlights makes for one of the most beautiful owls.
