Red Bellied Woodpecker Fledgling

The red bellied woodpecker chicks are fledging out of their nest back in the forest - the owls took over their official nest box this season. They are lovely birds to have around the Backyard and this young female is sitting tight waiting for parents and beginning to learn her way in the world. Enjoy!
