While taking pictures of birds on fences and a pasture in the Florida prairie I am unexpectedly set upon by a charging cattle guard donkey - don't know what would have happened without that fence between us, but I'm thankful. I now know guard donkeys are a thing and quite effective at protecting their territory and cattle.
