Downy Woodpeckers are irresistible. This juvenile male Downy Woodpecker has red on his cap which mature adults don't have. This little guy is going to town on a dead Palmetto branch, but he is in the process of being run out of the Backyard perhaps by his dad as you'll see near the end. Time for this young fellow to find his own territory of which there is plenty in the Jungle behind the Backyard.
