Shelled sunflower seeds always draw in the birds and Carolina Chickadee are the most frequent visitors. Usually with their calls preceding arrival or upon departure - And the male American Goldfinch with their sweet little calls tend to stay and eat. Bonus cameo visits by other favorite feeder birds. The Great Smoky Mountains is an are where both Carolina Chickadees and Black Capped Chickadees overlap and there are sometimes hybrids from interbreeding.
