Raccoons Feeding in Swamp


Raccoon's using their incredibly sensitive paws to find bird seed under water in the Corkscrew Swamp Sanctuary near Naples, Florida. This was filmed under a bird feeder hung over the swamp and protected from squirrels and raccoon's - the crafty coons nevertheless found any bird seed that settled to the bottom of the swamp. Raccoon's love the water and swamping areas in particular - just have to watch out for the alligators!

Amazing Wild Baby Screech Owls Fed By Parents



Eastern Screech Owl parents feed wild caught food to the three owlets in the nest box. The owlets can now swallow entire frogs and lizards and have to fight for position at the entrance and in a manner seem to take turns eating, but have to be pushed out of the way at times. Watch for one owlet who doesn't like Cicadas and lets it go only to be attacked by it later! Highlights from the live broadcast of April 7th, 2015.

Dabbling Ducks - Northern Shoveler Ducks Feeding


Northern Shoveler Ducks feeding. The most "dabbling" of all ducks, the Shovelers use their large elongated shovel-like bills with comblike projections along the edges to filter out food from the water. They spend a good portion of their time upside down in the water. Filmed at Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge, Florida.
