Squirrels Eating Silverbell Tree Seeds Mini Documentary

Halesia Carolina, or Carolina Silverbell also called the Mountain Silverbell, opossum wood, Silver Bell and Snowbell tree is a native North Carolina flowering tree that is found in the Great Smoky Mountains. It is stunning in spring bloom where falling petals look like snow covering the ground and it has succulent green fruit that squirrels will sometimes eat, but it is the ripe 4-sided brown seed pod in fall that the squirrels love and although it hasn't been documented on video much before this example the squirrels clearly love this autumn delicacy and can be seen feasting on it, but also leaving some on the tree for later in colder weather.
