Mourning doves often form a new pair bond each breeding season and many birds re-pair with the same mate. The birds spend nearly all their time together and this video is a good example. In warmer areas like Florida most pairs of Mourning doves remain together year round. They often display affection for each other and preen and cuddle. They may coo at each other although in this video vocalization is very low and sparse. They are just chilling out enjoying each others company.
They can produce 3 to 6 broods a year.
